Solar-cable cross-section and construction
The cable is manufactured in accordance with stringent standards PN-EN 50618:2015-03 and PN-EN 60228:2007, ensuring its high quality and reliability. 4mm² conductor consists of flexible tinned copper wires providing excellent conductivity, low resistance and corrosion resistance. They are surrounded by insulation and a sheath of halogen-free cross-linked material resistant to UV radiation, moisture, abrasion and harsh weather. The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -40°C to +90°C, with a short-term increase to +120°C, while its maximum outside diameter is approximately 5.6 mm.
MC4 connectors – a durable and safe connection
Cable ends measuring 3 metres and cross-section 4 mm² feature robust male and female MC4 connectors for a durable, reliable connection. The plugs are compatible with cables from 2.5 to 10 mm² and rated for current up to 30 A at a voltage of up to 1000 V DC. The durable PPO housing provides an ingress protection rating of IP67, effectively protecting connectors against moisture, dust and adverse external conditions. The cable is therefore ideal for indoor and outdoor installations, even in demanding environments.
Thanks to its compact dimensions and length of 3 metres, the cable is ideal for connecting components in systems mobile and home, as well as for on roofs and balconies.
