PV MC4 solar extension cable 5m 4mm²
A 5-metre solar extension cable with a 4 mm² cross-section and positive and negative MC4 connectors. It provides an easy, safe connection between solar panels and an inverter, charge controller or other PV components.
The conductor is made of flexible tinned copper, while its halogen-free insulation resists UV radiation and weather, ensuring durability and reliability in varied operating conditions.
PV MC4 solar-panel cable 5m 4mm²
The PV cable efficiently transfers energy from solar panels to the inverter, where direct current is converted into alternating current ready for the household electrical system. Universal MC4 connectors and high flexibility make installation easy even in hard-to-reach places, with no additional joints or adapters.
Robust construction and reliability
The cable is manufactured in accordance with PN-EN 50618:2015-03 and PN-EN 60228:2007. It contains a conductor with a cross-section of 4 mm², made from flexible tinned-copper strands for low resistance, excellent conductivity and oxidation resistance. The assembly is protected by insulation and a sheath of halogen-free cross-linked material resistant to UV radiation, moisture, abrasion and changing weather. The cable can operate from -40°C to +90°C, with a temporary rise to +120°C. Its maximum outside diameter is approximately 5,6 mm.
Durable MC4 connectors
The cable ends feature robust MC4 connectors – male and female – ensuring a stable, durable connection. The connectors support conductors from 2,5 to 10 mm² and are rated for current up to 30 A and voltage up to 1000 V DC. A robust PPO housing has an IP67 rating and effectively protects the cable against moisture, dust and other external factors, making it excellent for outdoor and indoor installations.
